Take part in a practical taught session on how to patch by hand, by machine, with iron on vilene and how to embellish and disguise tears with embroidery on clothes. Stitches to be used include chain, lazy daisy and buttonhole or spider stitch. Holes in woollen sweaters will be mended by using a decorative embroidery or a dry needle felting technique.
The session ends with a Sewing Surgery where participants can discuss items which they find problematic.
