Secondhand September: Mend with Friends, Norwich

Event Date: 05/09/21

Sunday 5 September, Oxfam Store, 8-10 Magdalen Street, Norwich 11am -3pm
As part of Oxfam’s #SecondhandSeptember campaign, We Wear The Trousers are partnering with Oxfam Magdalen Street to run a drop-in Mend with Friends event.
Bring your mending projects from home, or choose something from our ‘rag-bag’ to mend/upcycle and give a new lease of life.
This repair café is all about sharing stories, tips and skills with one another, in a relaxed environment. We’ll be doing simple mending by hand, like darning holes, patching, or replacing buttons. If you want to do something more adventurous, by all means bring your stuff and give it a go- as long as it can be done without a sewing machine. If you’ve never done any mending before, come along and see what you can learn!
This is a drop-in session, with a suggested donation of £3 to take part, to help cover costs of materials, but please pay what you can afford, and don’t feel you need to give if you can’t afford to. This is about sharing 🙂
