Swap ready-made sandwiches for a packed lunch
In the UK, we eat six million shop-bought sandwiches, in single use packaging, a day! Swap shop-bought sandwiches for a homemade packed lunch. Find shops who accept your containers for lunch.
Shop with less waste
Reducing your single use waste can be as simple as remembering your reusable shopping bags, shopping at an eco shop or bringing your own containers when you shop. Don't forget that many large supermarkets collect plastic bags, breadbags, cereal liners and more for recycling.
Swap beach toys
Reuse beach toys.
Look out for Beach Boxes around the Norfolk coast where you can leave your unwanted buckets and spades and other beach toys for people to use.
Swap flying rings
Save our seals. Don't use flying rings at the beach, swap it for a solid frisbee.
A flying ring is any type of throwing ring with a hole in the middle, including dog toy rings. They can easily get lost in water and end up as litter. Young seals play with them and sometimes put their head through the middle. They can't get them off and, as they grow the ring cuts into their neck causing injuries and sometimes death.
Visit Friends of Horsey Seals to find out more about their Flying Rings Campaign and how to get involved.
